AlexGostomelsky is a founder and managing partner at Digital Asset Strategies, a new cryptocurrency fund launching in Q1 2018. Alex has been launching startups for the past three years – his first startup was Nopical.com, a digital news aggregation platform built to solve user pain points in an ever-changing political and social climate. He also launched UCLA Anderson’s inaugural Venture Accelerator program. He leveraged his cross-industry startup knowledge to fast-track startups across diverse verticals – Ed-tech, VR, rideshare, apparel, and food – two teams graduated to accredited accelerator acceptance and three teams closed angel/venture funding (out of 11 total). To start his career, Alex worked for Citigroup’s Investment Banking strategy team and was integral in project teams valuating companies in the Consumer, Healthcare and TMT verticals, including several deals involving pre-IPO companies seeking equity and debt financing, and sell-side acquisitions. Alex then worked as a consultant at Credibility International, a boutique forensic accounting firm specializing in international finance litigation and damages evaluation. Alex graduated with a BBA in Finance from the George Washington University, and holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
