In 1997, Mr. Chugh founded TiE Southern California and later served as President. In 2003, Mr. Chugh was the founder president of SABA North America, and created a nationwide body with 27 chapters in North America representing over 10,000 Indian lawyers in the U.S. and Canada.
He is on the board of HAB Bank, Dhandho Holdings, Pratham USA, and newspaper India Journal. He has served on the boards of TiE Global, American India Foundation (AIF), Ignify Consulting (Hitachi), Sikh Center of OC, India Community Center, and Asia Society. He is a founding donor of 1947 Partition Archives, and a member of U.S. India Business Council (USIBC), and the World Presidents Organization (YPO/WPO).
He is married to Ritu Chugh, who holds a MBA and teaches Marketing at Long Beach College. Their two kids are Veeraj, 21, and Sabrina, 18.
