GM & Senior Director, Android TV (Google), Previously Senior Director, Technology Solutions at (YouTube)
Shalini Govil Pai is currently GM/head of Android TV, a next gen platform for TVs. Under her leadership, AndroidTV has see double digit growth around the globe with strong partnerships across PayTV operators (DirecTV, Bouygues, Airtel etc), SmartTVs (Sony, Toshiba, TCL), and content partners including Netflix and Amazon Prime.
She previously served as Sr. Director at YouTube, where she headed up technology solutions that enabled creators globally to expand their reach 10 fold. She has also led product for AdWords and GoogleTV and was awarded the prestigious Google OC Award.
Prior to Google, Shalini was Technical Director at Pixar Animation, where she led efforts for the first entirely CG animated block-buster ‘Toy Story’ and ‘A Bug’s Life’.
She is a well known thought leader and speaker, most recently having served as keynote at the IBC event, the worlds biggest conference for TV broadcasters, as well as having being featured in TV and press interviews.
She is the author of two internationally-published books in Computer Graphics – Principles of Computer Graphics and Learning Computer Graphics.
Shalini has a BS and MS in Computer Science, and was conferred Distinguished Alumni from her alma mater, IIT.
